Well we left home as planned about 9.30am . Had a nice casual drive to Wondai where we were going to stay the night and meet up with some old neighbours from Proston . It rained most of the way and the free camp in town was pretty sad so we decided to go on a bit further to Wooroolin , but sadly we found " murphy " and up came this light on the dash to say check engine / engine failure . Engine would only go about 10ks per hour . So after phoning the dealer we were advised that it would need to go to a workshop and be checked by the computer . No RACQ coverage as the truck is over 4 tonnes So organise a tow truck at great expense.
Arrived home and decided to leave truck in the shed and take what we need to go to Victoria in the Colorado , so after a full day sorting everything out , we were ready to go again .
Off again Friday morning, this time straight to Canungra to meet up with Susan & Mark at the showgrounds , had a good run except a flat tyre on the van , easy fix . Saturday morning granddaughter Rachel arrived to show us our new great grandson Oliver , 6 weeks old . Makes 8 great grandchildren . Has been raining most of the day , but managed to toast some marshmallows on the open fire
Off tomorrow to Texas on the border .
